On friday we played in Great falls and again had a good time.  In the morning we stopped by the Charlie Russell art show.  There was lots of sweet cowboy art.  One artisan was also a luthier and had made a custom guitar, modeled after a telecaster.  Swanson guitars…..He had carved an eagle in to the body of the guitar.  It played good, and looked amazing.  His next project is a rattlesnake version.  I am looking forward to seeing that.

Here is an old video of an unreleased song, NO ONE ELSE’s LOVE, back in the three minutes from home days. In the video is Luke Dowler on vocals, Al Hicks on guitar, Phil Hicks on bass and Zach Dowler on drums.  The song is slated for the next record.

This August I will be touring as part of a campaign to raise awareness of the underground world of sex trafficking.  Specifically, we will be supporting an organization called Serve Nepal.  Earlier this year I started to research some facts about the sex trade industry.  Its horrible!  I wrote a song called ‘Silence Is Shameful‘, and on one of the last tours connected with like-minded people.  We started to toss around the idea of a tour this summer.  I will be touring solo along with people representing the organization.  I think there will be a movie of some sort. This is going to be a great tour for what I would call ‘more than a cause’!!

For those of you just joining this post may not be necessary, but some of you have been here from the beginning.  I wanted to address the past and define the future.  Many people have asked me ‘why the name change?’, ‘why change the band name from Three Minutes From Home to Veteran Greene?’; and I then proceed to deliver the same set-up and punchline. Fast forward that process many times, and the answer to the question has become shorter and, I assume, less satisfying to the person asking the question.
